Melanie, owner of Simpel Kids, passed this house several times when it was for sale, before she saw the 'for sale' sign. She had a look and was surprised and thrilled the old details of the house were preserved; the old mirrors, wooden floors, high ceilings and big windows. Melanie also kept these details in tact but made the rest of the house feel light, airy and modern. She kept the color palet demure and simpel with just here and there a bit of color, like in the bedrooms and used furniture she gathered over the years and during her travels.
I love the fireplace filled with white cover magazines! A different take on the more often used wood filling.
